IT Delivery Leader ( Tech Lead)


MISSION

Lead and develop a team of ICT Software Engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement to ensure that the team achieves its objectives. Build, review and further develop standard application development practices and guidelines.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (non-exhaustive list)

As an IT Delivery Leader, your responsibilities will include:

People Management

  • Build, lead and inspire a team of professionals by providing guidance, mentoring and support to foster their growth and development.
  • Set clear objectives for the team and each individual, in line with the organisation’s mission and vision.
  • Ensure individual productivity, the quality of deliverables and overall performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback and identify opportunities for skills development and career progression.
  • Promote a culture of continuous feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive working environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Act as an internal escalation point for matters related to developer performance or other issues.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with other squads and teams to leverage their expertise and drive innovation across the organisation.
  • Align Agile ways of working and Scrum practices to ensure an appropriate delivery methodology through policies and best practices.
  • Develop DevSecOps and testing guidelines and ensure that daily activities are aligned with shared services.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by breaking down silos and promoting a unified approach to achieving organisational objectives.

Technical Expertise, Coaching & Training

  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development by promoting the adoption of new tools, technologies and methodologies.
  • Support the individual development of T-shaped profiles.
  • Align development guidelines and ensure they are understood and applied through individual coaching.
  • Introduce new joiners and existing developers to new technology stacks.
  • Manage development tools in line with the latest trends and developments to improve the software development lifecycle.
  • Work with the other development leaders to create a technical skills development plan for each employee and ensure the appropriate technological capabilities within the organisation.
  • Ensure development velocity.

Your Internal Stakeholders

You will work closely with the various teams within the IT department, including IT Product Owners, DevOps Engineers, IT Service Delivery Engineers, IT Solution Delivery Engineers, Enterprise Architects, IT Project Managers and Product Management.

PROFILE

As an IT Delivery Leader:

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or have equivalent professional experience.
  • You have progressed from an experienced or senior developer position into a Tech Lead role and have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • You have solid expertise in a Java, TypeScript, React, Angular or similar environment, as well as a good command of code review, CI/CD, DevSecOps, testing and Agile development practices.
  • You have experience coaching or mentoring developers and are interested in further developing your people management and hands-on leadership responsibilities.
  • You are able to monitor team activity and performance using Jira, KPIs and dashboards, identify roadblocks and provide management with a clear overview of delivery.
  • You combine strong communication skills with pragmatism, resilience and the ability to support change without falling into micromanagement.
  • You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • You are willing to work at both our Anderlecht and Fleurus sites.
