As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Service Engineer with strong PLC integration, networking, and IT systems expertise to support our industry-leading RTT™ and CT baggage screening product lines.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Service team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning,

integration, maintenance, and technical support of Rapiscan Advanced Detection Systems. The

role combines field engineering, PLC programming, networking, IT infrastructure, commissioning,

troubleshooting, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate Advanced Detection Systems into baggage and material handling systems using PLC programming and configuration.
• Commission RTT™ and CT screening solutions at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve complex PLC, server, networking, and workstation issues.
• Deliver remote and on-site technical support across Europe and internationally.
• Lead technical activities during installations and commissioning.
• Collaborate with customers, distributors, and system integrators.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience in a Field Service Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on PLC programming and integration experience.
• Knowledge of Profibus, Profinet, and industrial networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Allen Bradley and RSLogix experience, Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Material Handling
• Equipment (MHE), Windows server environments, Linux, or other complex automated systems.
• Qualifications
• Qualification in PLC Programming, Automation, or Control Systems.
• Qualification in Engineering, IT, Electronics, Automation, or a related discipline.

Travel Requirements

Extensive travel throughout Europe and internationally. Ability to obtain airport security clearances

and passes where required.
