DevOps & Cloud Platform Engineer

Contract: 6-month initial contract

About the Role

Our client is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) looking for an experienced DevOps & Cloud Platform Engineer to support the design, deployment and maintenance of secure, scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.

The role will focus heavily on AWS, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation, working closely with development and operations teams to deliver reliable and secure platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automated platform solutions.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines, applying DevSecOps principles throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Automate operational processes using Bash, Python, PowerShell and Ansible.
• Support secure and reliable application deployments across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Integrate identity, authentication and access-management solutions using technologies such as OAuth, JWT and OpenID Connect.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to improve deployment processes and platform reliability.
• Contribute to security, compliance, resilience and continuous improvement across the environment.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' experience delivering secure, scalable and compliant cloud or hybrid infrastructure solutions.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience. Azure and/or GCP experience is advantageous.
• Strong DevSecOps and CI/CD experience.
• Proven Infrastructure as Code and automation experience.
• Strong scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell and/or Ansible.
• Experience with OAuth, JWT and OpenID Connect.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management.
• English at minimum B2 level, both written and spoken.

Certification

Mandatory: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or an equivalent certification.

The certification must be valid and remain in good standing throughout the contract.
