Day Rate: €600–€700 per day

Location: Ghent

Contract Length: 3 months

Network Security Engineer - Role & Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise firewall rules across Cisco and Palo Alto environments, ensuring secure and efficient network traffic.
• Conduct application risk assessments and maintain an inventory of applications, identifying potential security vulnerabilities and risks.
• Provide network and security support across the client's IT environment, including Clarity and Microsoft 365 (O365).
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, firewall and security-related incidents, working closely with internal IT teams.
• Support the ongoing improvement of network security policies, configurations and operational processes within a large enterprise environment.

Network Security Engineer - Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Network & Security Engineer/Architect within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, including firewall rule management, optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Experience conducting application risk assessments and maintaining application inventories.
• Good understanding of network security, firewall policies, network troubleshooting and Microsoft 365 (O365) support. xlxgzvr
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Belgium, with minimal remote working.
