Are you an ambitious Business Development Manager with experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry?

We are looking for a commercially driven professional to join our growing pharmaceutical manufacturing company and take a leading role in developing new business opportunities, expanding our customer and partner network, and driving international commercial growth.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new commercial opportunities across pharmaceutical markets.

You will build strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies, distributors, partners and key stakeholders, while working closely with internal commercial, regulatory, marketing and technical teams to bring opportunities from initial contact through to successful partnership.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic and international pharmaceutical markets.
• Build and manage relationships with pharmaceutical companies, distributors, partners and strategic accounts.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Identify opportunities for new markets, products, partnerships and portfolio expansion.
• Manage the full business development pipeline, from prospecting and initial discussions through to negotiation and agreement.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals, business cases and partnership opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations and develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Conduct market, competitor and customer analysis to identify new growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain and other internal teams to ensure successful execution of new business.
• Attend international meetings, conferences and industry events to develop the company's network and generate new opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and maintain a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical competitive landscape.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in Business Development, Sales or Commercial Management within pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices or life sciences.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and commercial environment.
• Demonstrated track record of winning new business and developing strategic accounts.
• Experience managing distributors, partners or B2B pharmaceutical customers.
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Commercially minded with a strong focus on revenue growth and business expansion.
• Ability to identify opportunities, develop relationships and convert them into commercial results.
• Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
