Technical Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Define and promote front-end architecture, development standards, reusable components, patterns and frameworks across enterprise applications.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to multiple delivery teams.
• Design and support the implementation of enterprise-grade web applications with a strong focus on Angular and .NET.
• Translate business and functional requirements into sustainable, scalable and maintainable technical architectures.
• Produce architecture documentation, technical recommendations and implementation guidelines.
• Assess the impact, risks and dependencies of technology changes and provide pragmatic recommendations.
• Promote secure development practices, web security standards and appropriate authentication and authorization solutions.
• Support technology lifecycle management, performance optimization, scalability and maintainability of web applications.
• Present and defend architectural decisions to governance boards and senior stakeholders.
• Act as a technical coach and mentor, supporting developers and fostering continuous learning and technical maturity.
• Contribute to the industrialization and continuous improvement of development practices and technical solutions.

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect or Senior Software Engineer in a complex enterprise environment.
• 2–5+ years of relevant experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade web applications.
• Expert knowledge of Angular and modern front-end development practices.
• Strong knowledge of .NET / .NET Core ecosystems.
• Proven experience defining reusable components, patterns, frameworks and development standards.
• Strong understanding of Web Security standards and secure development practices.
• Experience with performance optimization, scalability and maintainability of web applications.
• Strong knowledge of Authentication and Authorization standards, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect and SAML.
• Proven ability to translate business and functional requirements into sustainable technical architectures.
• Experience producing architecture documentation, technical recommendations and implementation guidelines.
• Proven experience assessing technology impacts, risks and dependencies.
• Strong technical leadership, coaching, communication and presentation skills, including presenting architectural decisions to governance boards.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented and analytical mindset with the ability to work autonomously in multidisciplinary teams.
• English at good professional level, with fluent Dutch or French and at least basic knowledge of the other language.
• Experience in Insurance/Financial Services, Architecture Boards, Design Systems, AI-assisted development, CI/CD and DevOps is an advantage.
