Scrum Master

We are looking for an Scrum Master (5 years of experience) for a one-year Agile project in Brussels. The position offers a hybrid work model, with 50% on-site work and 50% remote work. The start date is as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Schedule and monitor the key stages of the methodology.
• Ensure the proper application of the Scrum methodology and help the project team overcome obstacles.
• Support the Product Owner with Product Backlog management.
• Support the team in delivering the Definition of Done and Sprint Backlog.
• Track team capacity and velocity for planning and progress monitoring.
• Coach and challenge the project team.
• Promote the team’s gradual self-organisation.
• Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from external distractions.
• Promote Agile methods across the organisation.
• Report on the proper implementation of the Scrum methodology within projects.
• Manage risks and issues.
• Coach business lines and stakeholders on effective collaboration with the team.

Must-Have Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies and techniques, including Scrum and Kanban, is required.
• Knowledge of Agile reporting and tracking tools, such as Jira, is required.
• An understanding of automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration tooling is required.
• Sound knowledge of software development methodologies is required.
• Sound knowledge of project management methodologies is required.
• French and/or Dutch proficiency
• English proficiency
