Technical Sales Engineer

To strengthen our team in Herentals, we are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer.

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Operations. You will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements, conducting site visits, and translating technical needs into feasible and cost-effective solutions. Drawing on your technical expertise, you will collaborate with customers, assess on-site situations, and ensure that every proposal is practical, safe, and fully aligned with project requirements.

You enjoy working closely with customers and feel comfortable in a role with extensive external interaction. A strong technical foundation is important, but practical insight, customer orientation, and a solution-driven mindset are just as essential.

What will be expected of you?

• Conduct customer visits and technical site assessments at project locations.
• Analyze customer requests related to temporary power solutions and rental services.
• Translate technical requirements into safe, practical, and implementable solutions.
• Advise customers on possible configurations, alternatives, and optimizations.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding equipment availability, planning and execution.
• Support the technical development of proposals and cost calculations.
• Follow up on customer inquiries and maintain professional communication throughout the entire process.
• Ensure a smooth and accurate handover of approved projects to the execution team.

Nice to have

• Experience in rental solutions, power supply systems, electrical engineering, project sales, or technical field service.
• Knowledge of medium-voltage installations, transformers, switchboards, generators, battery energy storage systems, or temporary power setups.
• Experience with ERP or CRM systems such as Business Central, Phronesys, or similar tools.
• VCA Basic certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience in project-based customer management and follow-up.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch
