Outsystems Developer

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Low-Code Developer with strong expertise in OutSystems and a solid background in traditional programming (e.G., PHP). The primary objective of this role is to modernize existing systems by developing scalable low-code solutions while progressively phasing out legacy codebases. The role offers 2 days of remote working and only English is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy applications using the OutSystems platform
• Analyze existing legacy systems (including PHP-based applications) and define migration strategies
• Refactor or replace legacy code with efficient, maintainable low-code solutions
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of applications
• Conduct testing, debugging, and optimization of applications
• Maintain documentation for developed solutions and migration processes
• Support continuous improvement of development practices and standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with OutSystems development (certification is a plus)
• Strong background in traditional programming languages, particularly PHP
• Experience in modernizing or migrating legacy systems to low-code platforms
• Solid understanding of software architecture and integration patterns
• Familiarity xlxgzvr with APIs, databases, and system integrations
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills in a collaborative environment

Working Conditions

• Hybrid setup: 3 days per week on-site in Leuven, 2 days remote
• Initial 6-month freelance contract with strong possibility of extension up to 2 years
