Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Operations Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, security, and reliability of business-critical applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with development, DevSecOps, and infrastructure teams to manage deployments, troubleshoot issues, automate operational processes, and maintain high availability across cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and infrastructure issues.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Implement temporary or permanent fixes, workarounds, and patches as required.
• Manage and execute application releases and infrastructure deployments across production and non-production environments.
• Utilize deployment tools and best practices to ensure consistent, repeatable, and auditable deployments.
• Maintain application data integrity through sanitization, anonymization, and reference data management.
• Provision and adapt infrastructure components to meet evolving business and operational needs.
• Manage virtualized, cloud, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and orchestration tools.
• Ensure platform security through patch management, system updates, and adherence to cybersecurity standards.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to align deployment, monitoring, and operational practices.
• Leverage containerization and orchestration technologies to improve scalability, deployment consistency, and rollback capabilities.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions to support system health and incident response.
• Design, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure service resilience and achieve defined RTO/RPO targets.
• Create and maintain operational runbooks, playbooks, and recovery procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of application and infrastructure environments, including web servers, application services, and automation scripting.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Knowledge of application technologies such as Java (JEE), PHP, .NET, or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, OVH, or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Familiarity with component-based and service-oriented architectures.
• Understanding of modeling methodologies and tools such as UML.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Dynatrace.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms.

Qualifications

• Junior-level professional experience in Operations Engineering, Application Support, Infrastructure Operations, or related disciplines. xlxgzvr
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Certifications

One or more of the following certifications is considered an asset:

• ITIL® 4 Foundation
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate
