Position Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join one of our clients’ backend development teams, contributing to a growing SaaS platform.

You will contribute to its .NET backend, tackling development challenges involving data, relationships, and calculations. This opportunity suits someone with a strong technical education who wants to develop their engineering skills through practical work and guidance from experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and improve backend components using .NET.
• Structure incoming customer data for use within the platform.
• Develop functionality for processing connected data, performing calculations, and supporting simulations and queries.
• Turn complex requirements into reliable, maintainable software.
• Collaborate with technical colleagues and product stakeholders throughout feature development.
• Apply sound coding practices and help maintain software quality.
• Explore AI development tools to support implementation, testing, and everyday engineering tasks, critically reviewing their output.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

• A master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Confidence working through abstract problems and an interest in mathematical concepts and complex systems.
• Motivation to build a career in software engineering and expand your technical knowledge.
• Willingness to explore how AI tools can support development work.
• Interest in the practical value and business implications of your technical decisions.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Preferred Experience:

• Some exposure to backend engineering is welcome, particularly through work on cloud-hosted applications or software products.
• Candidates at the start of their development careers are also encouraged to apply.
