Job Description

We're currently supporting a major enterprise client looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to join a long-term programme focused on modern API and middleware solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on integration specialist with strong Java and Apache Camel expertise who enjoys building robust, enterprise-scale connectivity solutions in a collaborative DevOps environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Create and maintain integration services using Apache Camel and Java technologies.

Develop reliable and high-performing interfaces between business applications and platforms.

Apply integration best practices and messaging patterns across complex environments.

Design, develop, and enhance integration frameworks and reusable components.

Work within modern DevOps teams, contributing to automated deployment and delivery processes.

Partner with senior technical stakeholders while providing guidance and support to less experienced developers.

Help shape and improve the organisation's integration capabilities and technical roadmap.

What We're Looking For

Solid background in Java software engineering.

Demonstrable experience delivering solutions with Apache Camel (essential).

Comfortable working within Linux-based environments.

Exposure to container and cloud platforms such as OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is advantageous.

Experience using source control and automation tools, including GitHub, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.

Self-motivated professional with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.
