Financial Controller - Antwerp - Move from Audit to Industry

Are you currently working in Audit and starting to think about your next move?

I’m working with a listed international real estate group that is looking for a Financial Controller to join its Belgian finance team in Antwerp.

This is a particularly strong opportunity for someone coming from Big 4 or another leading audit firm who wants to make a natural move into industry and take genuine ownership of the numbers.

You’ll leverage your experience in IFRS, financial reporting and year-end processes, while gaining much broader exposure to the business across:

• IFRS quarterly and annual reporting
• Financial controlling of a €1.3bn+ property portfolio
• Budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis
• Working closely with senior Finance and Property stakeholders
• Acting as the key contact for external auditors
• Yardi ERP, finance optimisation and AI projects

You’ll join a small, high-performing finance team, giving you real autonomy, visibility and the opportunity to develop beyond the traditional audit environment.

The profile we’re looking for:

• 4–6 years of experience in Audit, ideally within a Big 4 or leading audit firm
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
• Experience with year-end/quarterly close processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting is a plus
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ambition to take ownership
• Real estate experience is not required
• Dutch fluency required
