Electrical Hardware Engineer

As part of our Life Sciences activities, we are looking for a Electrical Hardware Engineer to support the design and development of advanced industrial equipment within a highly innovative manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the design of electrical and pneumatic systems, from component selection and cabinet design to testing and commissioning activities. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will contribute to the development of high-performance equipment while ensuring compliance with industry standards, machine safety requirements and quality expectations.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

- Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and pneumatic systems using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Select electrical and automation components, perform power calculations and define technical solutions aligned with project requirements.
- Develop and review electrical cabinet designs, including 3D cabinet layouts.
- Support the assembly and validation of prototype control panels in compliance with applicable certifications and safety requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations such as IEC-61010, IEC-60204-1, IEC-61326-1, CE and other applicable industrial standards.
- Collaborate with automation, software, process and mechanical engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews, technical risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support verification, testing and commissioning activities to ensure equipment functionality and compliance.
- Contribute to the preparation of engineering documentation and technical files.

ABOUT YOU:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electromechanics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware design, electrical engineering or industrial automation.
- Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 or similar tools
- Experience designing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of electrical component sizing, power calculations and control cabinet design.
- Experience with prototype panel assembly and familiarity with BA4 and/or BA5 certifications is considered a strong asset.
- Good knowledge of industrial electrical standards and machine compliance requirements.
- Understanding of GAMP5 principles, from requirements definition through testing activities.
- Experience participating in risk assessments and multidisciplinary engineering reviews.
- Fluent English is mandatory. Knowledge of Dutch or French is highly appreciated.
