With the clear objective to further expand our presence in Belgium, we are looking for a Corporate Tax Lawyer for our offices in Antwerp or Brussels .

What you’ll learn and do

As a corporate tax Lawyer, you’ll help our clients to ensure their tax strategy’s efficiently implemented and managed, and help them cope with ever-increasing, complex reporting requirements. You’ll serve as a trusted tax advisor, helping clients with their day-to-day challenges and queries to guide them through the rapidly evolving Belgian and international tax landscape.

Your skills and creativity will contribute to guiding clients in solving complex issues and will generate new insights.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Play a key role in providing corporate legal tax services

- Assist and advise clients in their dealings with the Belgian tax authorities and propose tailor-made tax solutions

- Constantly keep an eye out for possible opportunities for your clients and act as a trusted legal partner

- To be specialised in Financial Services Tax (taxation of financial products such as banking, funds or insurance products, as well as the taxation of financial institutions) and/or in Wealth (with an emphasis on investments, particularly in Private Equity, structuring and Corporate Wealth)

- To propose solutions to Financial Services clients, high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families.

Who you are

- Bachelor or master’s degree in law or economics

- Knowledge of Belgian tax law

- 5 to 12 years of experience in corporate taxation

- Ability to analyse complex problems and present them in a synthesised manner

- Ability to work within budgetary and time constraints while providing a high level of client satisfaction

- Good presentation skills and fluent (report) writing skills; IT knowledge is a valuable asset

- A team-player attitude with outstanding communication skills.

- Entrepreneurial, committed, flexible, accurate and eager to learn

- Fluent in English and Dutch, with knowledge of French
